Tiers & Features¶
Hanergy offers three license tiers. Every tier includes the full core engine -- priority-based allocation, EMA smoothing, anti-cycling protection, and grid import limits. Higher tiers unlock more devices, more priority rules, and advanced features.

Without a license, Hanergy runs in limited mode (1 device, 1 priority). Register for a free account to unlock more.

Understanding the Tiers¶
Free¶
Create an account at cloud.hanergy.app and activate a free license token. This unlocks a second device and a second priority rule. The free license covers approximately 2 months of future releases.
Pro¶
The Pro license unlocks up to 10 controllable devices, 10 priority rules, device auto-scan, simulation mode, all device templates, and unlimited decision history. It covers approximately 12 months of future releases. Price: 60 EUR.
Professional installers can apply for exclusive pricing through the installer program.
Max¶
For large or commercial installations that need unlimited devices and priority rules with a custom update window. Contact support@hanergy.app for pricing.
Update Window¶
The update window determines how many future Hanergy releases your license covers.
- A Free license covers releases published within approximately 2 months of activation.
- A Pro license covers releases published within approximately 12 months of purchase.
- A Max license has a custom update window agreed at purchase time.
When the update window expires:
- You keep using the last version covered by your license. No features are removed, no functionality is degraded.
- You can continue to update by purchasing a new license or renewing.
- Adding new devices beyond your tier limit is blocked until you renew or upgrade.
This model means you always have lifetime access to the version of Hanergy that was current when your update window closed. There are no recurring fees and no forced updates.
Monitored Devices¶
All tiers allow unlimited monitored (read-only) devices. The device limit only applies to controllable devices that the engine actively manages. You can monitor as many energy sensors and devices as you like without affecting your device count.
