Configuration

All Hanergy configuration is managed through the web UI. There is no need to edit files manually — every setting, device, and priority entry can be created and modified from the browser.

Configuration Areas

Hanergy organizes its configuration into four areas:

  • Energy Sensors

    Map your Home Assistant sensors for solar production, grid import, grid export, and consumption.

    Add and configure the loads Hanergy manages — EV chargers, heat pumps, pool pumps, and more.

  • Priorities

    Define the order in which surplus is allocated to devices and set activation thresholds.

    Tune evaluation intervals, hysteresis timers, smoothing, and safety limits.

How Configuration Works

Changes made through the UI take effect on the next engine evaluation cycle (within seconds). Hanergy validates every change before applying it — if a required field is missing or a value is out of range, the UI displays an error and the previous configuration remains active.

Live reload

There is no need to restart the add-on after changing configuration. The engine picks up changes automatically on the next cycle.
