Reporting Issues

If you encounter a bug or unexpected behavior, file an issue on GitHub:

When filing an issue, please include:

  1. Hanergy version (shown in Settings > About)
  2. Home Assistant version (Settings > About in HA)
  3. Deployment method (HA Add-on or Docker)
  4. Relevant add-on logs (Settings > Add-ons > Hanergy > Log -- look for level=ERROR lines)
  5. Your configuration (sanitize entity IDs if you prefer privacy)
  6. Steps to reproduce the issue

Before Reaching Out

Many common issues can be resolved quickly by:

  1. Checking the Troubleshooting section
  2. Reviewing the Decision Timeline on the dashboard (it shows the reason for every skip and action)
  3. Verifying entity IDs in HA Developer Tools > States
  4. Checking add-on logs for level=ERROR entries
